Mrs. Christy Ryals

A native of Madison, Alabama, I began my teaching career at Madison Elementary in 2000.  I taught Kindergarten for 5 years, then started my family in 2006.   I then taught preschool at Asbury Child Development Center, and also taught early childhood music for Music Together of the Tennessee Valley (part time) for 5 years.  When my youngest started Kindergarten, I felt the pull to step back into the classroom full time.  Two of my children were currently students at Heritage where I was actively involved as a parent.  I loved the school and faculty so much that I was very happy to be joining team Heritage in 2017.

I've been married to my college sweetheart since 1999.  We have three children and they have all attended Madison City Schools since Kindergarten.

I absolutely love Kindergarten and relish the opportunity to be your child's first school experience.  I have been a kindergarten parent three times and understand the mixed emotions that can come with sending your child to school for the first time.  I have very high expectations for a positive first school experience for you and your child.  I take my job very seriously, although I can be quite silly in the classroom.
