Welcome to Heritage Elementary! My name is Michelle Schmitt and I began teaching at Heritage Elementary in 2013. I graduated with honors (Summa cum Laude) from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in December 2012. I am certified to teach Elementary Education and Special Education. I have also attended Auburn University, Austin Peay State University, and Northeast Community College.

  Over the entirety of my life, I have been fortunate enough to live overseas, as well as, throughout the United States, to include: Germany, Kentucky, Hawaii, Oklahoma, and beautiful Alabama. I have two witty and intelligent daughters, Violet and Kalina, who I just adore. We added a new member to our family recently, Tucker, a jack russell-beagle dog.
