Mrs. Lauren Zekoff
My name is Lauren Zekoff and I am delighted to be teaching 3rd grade at Heritage this year. I grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Auburn University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I also hold a master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama.
I previously taught from 2010-2015, mostly in 3rd grade, before becoming a stay-at-home mom to our three children. My kids will be entering grades 1st, 3rd, and 5th this year at Heritage. I have been married to my husband, Michael, for 14 years.
I have been actively involved at Heritage for the last few years. I served as a Room Mom for all of my kids' classes over the years. I also served on the PTA Hospitality Committee. This past spring, I was a substitute at Heritage!
I enjoy journaling in the morning with a coffee in hand, spending time with my family, singing at church, and watching historical documentaries. I cannot express how much I love teaching children. It is one of my greatest joys and a calling I have had since I was a little girl! I look forward to an amazing school year!
