We are so excited to continue our house system at Heritage with our amazing Heritage Houses!
The house system provides an opportunity for every student and staff member to take part in creating a strong community of learners at Heritage. Through this house system, each student will be sorted into a house. Once sorted into their house, this will be the student’s house for the remainder of their time at Heritage. These houses will have students of all grade levels represented as well as a variety of staff members. Students and staff will work together throughout the year to build strong bonds and relationships that will allow them to feel more connected to our school. Our goal is for students to feel as if they truly know all the staff and students in our school and that we are united as one. This initiative will supplement the great work we are already doing as a Leader in Me Lighthouse School!
In addition, each house represents a specific character trait and house members will work together to represent their trait with pride. Houses will meet throughout the year to participate in house bonding activities, work on character trait development, and complete service learning projects together. House meeting dates will be communicated by classroom teachers. Students will also have the opportunity to earn points for their houses in a friendly competition to be named House Champions for the year!
