Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kristin Kolenich
I am thrilled to serve the students, teachers, and families at Heritage Elementary! I graduated from Auburn University with BS in Elementary Education and a MA in Instructional Leadership from Samford University. Before becoming an administrator, I was a classroom teacher for 15 years in Kindergarten, 4th grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade. In 2019, I became the Reading Coach at Heritage, working closely with our amazing teachers and supporting them in their classrooms. In December 2021, I was fortunate to be named the assistant principal and I am so lucky to continue working with our amazing faculty, students, and the Heritage community.
Our family has lived in Madison since 2005. My husband, Daniel, is a software engineer for the U.S. Army. We have two children, Aubrey and Ben, who both attended Heritage. We love to travel and spend time near the water relaxing as a family. In my free time, I love to cheer on my kids at soccer and hockey, read, shop, and relax at home with our dogs.
I am so honored to lead the best teachers and staff around! Our Heritage family works so hard for our students and I am proud to work along side them each day. We are fortunate to have wonderful support from our Heritage families and the community. Thank you for all you do to make Heritage a great place!
