Hello! Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Mrs. Prevatt and I'm so excited to be your history and science teacher this year! This will be my fourteenth year teaching and my fourth year at Mill Creek. I've taught second, third and fourth grade, but eleven of those years were spent in fourth. Fourth grade is the best! 

The main focus in my classroom has always been community. We truly are a family! I see my students during the week more than I see my own children. I do not take that influence lightly. I want your child to feel safe and welcome every day!

I have my B.S. in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from UAB. 

My husband and I are a blended family of eight. We have six children ranging in ages from nine months (we welcomed a new baby boy named Jude to our family last year) to twenty-one. It’s always interesting at our house! 

Teaching gives me purpose. I would truly be lost without it. I know that God created me for this profession, and I thank him everyday for guiding me to a career I have such a passion for.
