I am so excited to be a first grade teacher at Mill Creek.  I have taught in first and fourth grade classrooms since 2004.  

First grade is such an exciting time of learning.  One of my favorite things about first grade is the opportunity to teach children to read.  I hope that with a strong reading foundation, they will develop a love of books and learning!  

I also love first graders' natural curiosity about the world around them.  I try to encourage this natural curiosity by incorporating hands-on math and science activities as well as engaging writing opportunities.

On a personal note, I have been married to Scott Pride since 2004.  He works at CB&S Bank. In 2012, our daughter, Addie was born. Our family loves to travel and make memories together.  My personal interests include: reading, running, and cooking.

I look forward to being your child's teacher as your first grader enjoys a special year of growth and learning.  I hope that we can partner together to celebrate the progress and achievements that this exciting year will bring.
