Welcome to Third Grade! You will find that third grade is an exciting and awesome experience for students, parents, and teachers alike!

My name is Cheryl Campbell and I am super excited about this year at Mill Creek Elementary! I have had the privilege of being at Mill Creek since its opening and it is such a fabulous school filled with outstanding teachers and wonderful students. The atmosphere here is truly inspiring ... you will always find lots of energy, excitement, and learning going on! I am so very blessed to have a job that I absolutely enjoy.

A little bit about me -- I am originally from the midwest, but I have lived here for over 25 years, so I am a southerner through and through.  I am married to Stephen Campbell, who is an attorney in Athens. We have a big family including four wonderful children, sixteen awesome grandchildren, and one crazy fur baby, Bentley, our boxer. Our holiday celebrations are loud but filled with lots of laughter. My husband and I love camping and traveling throughout the US, especially to our national parks. In my free time, I enjoy cake baking and decorating, crocheting, and reading. I also love watching old classic movies and have quite a collection of them.

I have always wanted to be a teacher. My goal has always been to provide a safe, positive, challenging, and thriving environment for my students, instilling a love of learning. I love to make learning fun and my happiest times are seeing those "Aha" moments for my students. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Athens University and a Master of Education in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama.
