I am originally from Mobile, Alabama, but I moved here in 1996 to pursue a degree in education at Alabama A&M University. I am a former Alabama A&M cheerleader, and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. I graduated from Alabama A & M University in May of 2000 with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and began my teaching career in August of 2000. Three years after I began teaching, I decided to further my education, by earning a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Over the years I have had the pleasure of teaching first, second, and sixth grade, but teaching second grade is by far...my favorite!
In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, playing word games, researching new ways to incorporate technology in my classroom, and spending time with my daughter.
