• Welcome to Madison, Alabama, where more than 3000 students of military-connected families attend our schools.  Madison City School communities work diligently to support military families and address transitional challenges through the efforts of our students, teachers, counselors, school administrators, and the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) grant administrator.  Federal Impact Aid has brought in nearly $4 million to Madison City Schools since 2000.  Additionally, we have acquired more than $10 million in DoDEA grant funds, which support our military-connected programs.

We are committed to partnering with you to ensure excellence in the education of military-connected students and in finding innovative ways to support our military families.  For example, we celebrate military children and families with numerous special events throughout the school year such as Veteran's Day assemblies, Month of the Military Family and Child events, Military Appreciation Night at football games, service projects, and much more!   One support we are proud to offer is an Student 2 Student Club known as eS2S for the Elementary Schools, jS2S for the Middle Schools, and S2S for the High Schools.  If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the sponsor at your student's school.
