Greetings to Everyone,

My name is Alicia Smith. I'm the school counselor and the eS2S sponsor at Rainbow Elementary School. My role as a school counselor/sponsor has been rewarding, and I look forward to working with the faculty, staff, students, and parents. My belief is to never stop encouraging, inspiring, and instilling hope into our children.

I have been at Rainbow since 2018. I will be teaching guidance lessons to students in Kdg-5th. All of the guidance lessons will be based on the American School Counseling Association (A.S.C.A.) which is geared towards academic, career, and positive social skills. I will also have small group sessions and the primary focus will be on social skills and helping the selected students discuss specific concerns that they have in common with other students. *Parental permission is required for group participation.

Hi!  I am beginning my 4th year at Rainbow teaching our English Learners! I grew up in Huntsville, where I taught and lived for a few years until moving to teach in Nashville for 8 years.  There I taught English Language Learners from many different countries and learned so much about a variety of cultures!  I love to travel, go to concerts, exercise and hike.  I can't wait to meet all of my new students and continue to teach my returning ones!
