Hello! My name is Monica Lisenby. I am so excited to be teaching kindergarten at Horizon!

I graduated with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education in December 1998 and married just a few months later. My husband, Mike, and I are raising two wonderful children together. We moved to Madison for my daughter and son to attend Madison City Schools. Most of my free time is spent with my family and watching my kids play sports. I also enjoy being outdoors, spending time at the beach, reading, and doing word puzzles.

I have previously taught first grade; however, most of my time has been spent in kindergarten. Teaching has always been my passion, and I absolutely love teaching kindergarten!  I am so blessed to be teaching in the best school district!
