Liberty Middle and Rainbow Elementary S2S groups were recognized at the Sept. 19th, 2024 Board of Education meeting for excellence.
S2S stands for Student-to-Student. It is a military child support group that also helps welcome and orient any new student to MCS.
The LMS S2S group won the national Pete Taylor Partnership of Excellence Award, which recognizes projects that succeed in benefitting children with military connections. Liberty was also recognized as Elite Team of the Year for the national S2S organization.
Rainbow Elementary's S2S group was recognized as a finalist for national Elementary Team of the Year.
Liberty's S2S is under the guidance of advisors Benita Tunstill and Kitty Mingus.
Rainbow's S2S is under the guidance of sponsors Alicia Smith and Lauren Hillis.
