Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Clairissa Stegherr
My name is Crissy Stegherr. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Athens State University, and have been teaching since 2013. The past 10 years, my experience has included teaching first and second grade.
This year I will be stepping into a new adventure as the STEM teacher for Madison Elementary. My passion for STEM began in my first few years of teaching. I love watching students learn through trial and error, communication, cooperation, and seeing the pure joy when their ideas and plans come together. I'm looking forward to engaging all learners, K-5, in the Engineering Design Process and innovative technology to expose them to real world STEM opportunities.
When I'm not at school I love to spend time with my family. I have been married to my husband Matthew since 2014 and we have a daughter and two sons. One fun fact about me is that I love baseball. My favorite team is the Atlanta Braves. My husband and I really enjoy visiting and touring different baseball stadiums when we go on vacation. Our goal is to eventually visit all of them.
