Mr. Quentin Turner

I am excited to be the new Principal at Rainbow Elementary School!  I graduated from Stillman College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, Masters Degree and Educational Specialist Degree from The University of West Alabama, and Certification in Instructional Leadership from Jacksonville State University. I was a classroom teacher for six years in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades respectively.  In 2012, I became an Instructional Partner in Tuscaloosa City, working closely with the Alabama Best Practices Center, supporting teachers in their classrooms. In 2019, I became a Reading Coach in the Madison County School System, where I served for three years.  In May 2022, I was  named the new assistant principal at Midtown where I learned a great wealth of knowledge through the day to day operations.  I worked at Midtown for two years, before being promoted to principal here at Rainbow.

My wife, Erica and I have two wonderful sons, Landon who attends James Clemens High School  and Locklin. We enjoy sports, traveling, and spending time with family. I am committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with faculty, staff, parents, and community stakeholders in order to build a foundation that will enable all students to continue high academic success. Rockets, let’s SOAR!3
