I am currently a history teacher at Rise Academy, where I’ve been teaching since 2022. I earned my degree from Athens State University in 2003 and have been passionate about education ever since.

Before joining Rise Academy, I was part of the founding faculty at James Clemens High School, where I taught from its opening in 2012 until 2022. Prior to that, I taught 7th grade at Discovery Middle School from 2009 to 2012. My teaching career began with Huntsville City Schools, where I spent six years developing my craft in a variety of classroom settings.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach a wide range of subjects, including Civics/Geography, Career Prep, World History, U.S. History I & II, and Government/Economics.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I’m an avid golfer and love making memories with my family.
