Hello,

My name is Akilah Parker.  I am from Atlanta, GA, but I have lived in the Madison area since 2004. I moved to Alabama to attend Oakwood University. My husband and I have two children who also attend Madison City Schools.  I love reading, traveling to new places,binge-watching my favorite TV shows, and spending time with my family. I taught high school English for five years in Huntsville City Schools before coming to Madison City schools to teach. I recently obtained my Master's in Special Education from the University of West Alabama, and I am constantly pressing toward new goals. I look forward to the new school year, and I am very happy to be a part of this amazing team of teachers, staff, and students.
