This will be our newsletter for after Spring Break: March 17-21.

Kindergarten is excited about our upcoming field trip to the Early Works Museum on Thursday, April 10th. The cost of the trip is $20 per student, which will cover transportation and entry fees. Please start saving for this expense so that we can assure all students have the opportunity to attend. The cost for parents attending and meeting us at Early Works will be $10 and must be prepaid. We will provide more details after Spring Break! All field trip money will be due no later than March 21st.

We started a new literacy station last week. It is called Magnet Center. At this station, the students build words in a word family using magnets. Then, they write the words. Their last step is to use the words in a sentence. Last week our word family was -at, this week our word family is -it. I am expecting the students to begin their sentence with a capital letter, put a space between the words, and end the sentence with punctuation. The students are enjoying this new station.
