The March Reading Log came home in folders today. 

You will notice that this week's practice sheet looks different from usual. Being able to write the alphabet in sequence from memory is an important skill. It is okay if your child cannot write the alphabet in under a minute by Wednesday. It is a goal we have for May.  Just set the timer for the specified time and see how far they get. You will be able to see which lowercase letters they know how to write with correct formation and which letters they need additional practice with. 

If you forgot to send the green Practice Folders today, please send it tomorrow. I hope you are enjoying listening to your child read the sentences and passages each day. We become better readers by reading. The time you spend each evening with your child reading will make a meaningful difference!

We will continue assessments for the 3rd 9 Weeks Report Cards this week. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep each night, eats breakfast each morning, and arrives at school on time each day. If you plan for your child to be absent, please let me know, so I can plan accordingly to assure missed assessments are completed.
