It was a great day in Kindergarten!
We began our first week of our Wonders Reading Series. We are focusing on the letter Mm this week. Have your child identify the letter in various settings and tell you the sound that it says. Then, have your child practice writing a capital and lowercase Mm with correct formation.
The students were so excited about our first day of Literacy Stations.
We will be studying Community Helpers in a few weeks. Please complete this Community Helpers form and return the form in your child's folder. Also, you will need to email me a picture of you at work. Please have both of these completed by Thursday, September 26th. (Please have both parents complete a form and email a picture.) The students are always excited to share the pictures of their parents at work. Thank you!
Be sure to check the newsletter for important dates each week. Special events are happening Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week. I hope you are able to come to the PTA meeting tonight. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend as I will watching my little one this evening, but I know you'll have a great time at Family Reading Night. One update from this week's newsletter: The Bob Jones Homecoming Parade has been moved to 6:00.
IMPORTANT! The Boosterthon challenge tonight is that any student who logs a new pledge tonight on funrun.com is allowed to wear pajamas tomorrow. There are guidelines for how pajama day works in Kindergarten: 1) Only two piece pajamas...no all in one with zippers because it will be on the floor in the restroom. 2) Students must wear tennis shoes...no slippers.
