September 6

September 6, 2019

Here is the newsletter for this week: September 9-13 Thank you for taking the time to read it closely.

We had a short but super busy week! We had very important lessons each day this week to learn the procedures for Literacy Stations. We will begin the Wonders reading series and Literacy Stations next week. Monday will be a BIG day for us! I'm excited to see how they do as we begin!

We made it to all the way to the letter Z yesterday for our Letter Experts! We enjoyed celebrating all the Letter Experts with a dance party and fun alphabet songs!  I am very proud of all the students and their hard work as Letter Expert! Thank you to each family for working with your child on this assignment!

Over the weekend, please continue to practice the following skills:

1) Watch your child type the computer login and password 5 times.

2) Practice lunch numbers 10 times. Your child has to be able to type their lunch number when checking out a library book.

3) Have your child practice rolling their rest mat. By this time of the year, each student should be able to do this independently.

Thanks for trusting me with your children! I am enjoying getting to know the children more and more each day!
