COVID-19 Fall Athletics Procedures For Madison City Schools
Madison City Schools has set COVID-19 protocols for fall athletics.
Following Alabama Department of Public Health guidelines in conjunction with the Alabama High School Athletic Association, protocols cover facility attendance/capacity, ticket sales, face mask requirements, social distancing, concessions, and other measures to ensure the well being of our students, coaches, facility workers, parents and fans. One major event that has changed because of COVID-19 is the annual Madison Bowl between Bob Jones and James Clemens high schools.
Rather than play the annual rivalry at Madison City Stadium, the game has been shifted to Louis Crews Stadium on the Alabama A&M campus to accommodate larger attendance while staying within social distancing guidelines. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Sept. 4.
