SRO's Kids Camp Provides Douse of Summer Fun

During the month of June, the Madison Police Department sponsors a “Kids Camp” for rising 6th graders who completed the “Too Good for Drugs” program.
School Resource Officers (SROs) are heavily involved in this annual event.

The camp this year was expanded to rising 7th grade students since it was cancelled last year.
This annual event gives kids opportunities to mingle with SROs and other officers from the department and learn how the various emergency response agencies serve the community.
A central goal is fostering positive and meaningful interactions that build trusting relationships. All with some fun sprinkled in with the activities.
