Investment ratings are like a credit score. The higher rating means lower interest rates. Madison City Schools earned a top rating that only 5 percent of school districts nationwide attain.
Superintendent Robby Parker, CSFO Jana Gray and top BOE officers Ranae Bartlett and Tim Holtcamp visited New York earlier this month to make their financial ratings pitch to investment firms Standard & Poors and Moody’s.
