BJ Esports Team Wins 8th Consecutive State Title

Esports teams at Bob Jones and James Clemens high schools demonstrated a thrilling display of skill and strategy in winning at the state Esports Championship in Montgomery.

Bob Jones Fushion won its eighth consecutive Rocket League State Championship in the Dec. 11 tournament at Huntingdon College in Montgomery. They secured the title with a 4-2 win over Lee High School.
BJ players are Luke Scherer, Max Dunkerley, Jonah Brooks and Rylan Baren.
Keith Nowicki won the Alabama Madden runner-up.
Additionally, BJHS Bao claimed the League of Legends Central U.S. Champion title in the championship match Dec. 12. The team secured the title with a 2-1 win over North Garland High School of Garland, Texas. Players are Henry Holland, Davin Nazario, Gavin Alger, Alex Meyers, Kenny Hall, and Arianna Martin.
