BOE Welcomes Newest Member
The newest board member for Madison City Schools was sworn in at the November 6 MCS Board meeting.
Tess Halbrooks took the oath of office to begin her term, replacing Alice Lessmann, who recently took a seat on the Madison City Council.
Municipal Judge Aaron Ryan administered the oath to Ms. Halbrooks as her husband, Chris; and sons Luke and Benjamin looked on. Both boys attend Heritage Elementary.
Madison school board members are appointed by the City Council and serve five-year terms with no compensation. Terms are staggered so that only one board member's term expires each year.
