Ms. La Toya Grow, M. Ed.
La Toya Grow is a native of Prichard, AL. She moved to Huntsville, AL to attend the greatest HBCU in the land, Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University (A&M) in 1999. After later receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Faulkner University in 2012, because teaching and working with young children has always been a passion of hers, she completed her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education back at Alabama A&M University in 2017.
La Toya is the single mother of one son Jaden, and the founder of Manchild, a nonprofit organization in support of Mothers Raising Boys Alone. She is also a published author and playwright. In 2016, she published her first stage play, Awaken the Glory here in Huntsville, AL. In January of 2017, La Toya's first children's book, Luci the Love Bug was released. Her second book, Alice Leaves the Palace was released in August of 2017. Her books are moral-based stories of imaginations that she is proud to share with the world.
La Toya is excited to be in the classroom. She desires to be an educator that impacts her students far beyond academics. She wishes to be positively impactful to every student she encounters during her time in the classroom. She teaches her students that community is important, even at a young age. She also promotes having a growth mindset and awareness of the power of being positive.
