Hola and Hello all!

My name is Haley Shipley (formerly Ms. Woodard) and I am extremely excited to be teaching at Journey Middle School this year. I will be teaching the following throughout the school year: Spanish Survey A, Spanish Survey B, Spanish 1, Career Prep, Public Speaking, Creative Writing, and Digital Publishing Tools! In the past, I have taught Spanish and Career Prep classes at both Bob Jones and James Clemens. I grew up in Meridianville Alabama and graduated from Hazel Green High School in 2012. I obtained my bachelor degrees of Spanish and Secondary Education at UAH in 2018 and my master degree of Teaching Foreign Languages at Auburn University in 2021. I am married to my best friend Austen, and together we have a cat named Narcissa and two dogs: Brantley and Knox. In my spare time I love to color, paint, travel, watch Harry Potter, attend festivals, and play video games. 

I am looking forward to meeting my new students and beginning this exciting new school year!
