Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Allison Adams

I graduated in 2019 from The University of Alabama and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Psychology.

While working on my Bachelor's degree at the University of Alabama, I did two internships at Arts in Autism in Tuscaloosa, AL, and Behavioral One in Birmingham, AL. I also participated in the Applied Behavioral Analysis program at The University of Georgia. There, I worked in their Center for Autism and Behavioral Education Research and was placed at Cleveland Road Elementary School to work with students.

I worked at Madison Behavior Therapy for two years, where I received my certification as a Registered Behavior Technician. Then, I joined  Madison City Schools this
year as a Paraprofessional and Registered Behavior Technician. This will be my first year teaching in my classroom. I am working on her Temporary Special Education Certification at Athens State University.

I was born and raised in Decatur, AL. My family and I live in Athens, AL, where I enjoy golfing and running. I love to read, go to the gym, and spend time with family. I am thrilled to be a part of Journey Middle School and cannot wait to meet everyone!
