My name is Heather Cox, and I teach ELA 7, ELA 7 Honors, and Digital Publishing Tools! This is my first year at Liberty, and I am so excited to be part of the Lion family!

I received my Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts Education from Athens State University and my Master's degree from Faulkner University in Curriculum and Instruction. 

In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, who is also an educator, and our son, Beckett, who will be one in September! I also like to read, run, and rewatch The Great British Baking Show. 

I have always been a passionate reader and writer, but I realize that not every student is that way. My aim is for every student to find at least one thing they love to read and one way they love to write by the end of the year! I can't wait to teach and learn from my students this year!
