Degrees and Certifications:
Hi! My name is Amy McGehee, and I am a Special Education teacher at Madison Elementary. I am originally from Stone Mountain, Georgia. I received my teaching degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Chad, for 19 years. We have two boys who keep us very busy: Brett (16) and Clayton (13). My husband is a high school football coach so on Friday nights we are cheering his team on under the lights. In my spare time I enjoy playing tennis, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.
I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher. I am passionate about reaching my students where they are as learners and believing in them and encouraging them along the way. Building relationships with my students and their families is very important to me. I feel blessed to teach at Madison Elementary, and I am looking forward to a great year!
