Mrs. Kirsten Kennedy

I am so excited for my first year as a Lion! This is my 9th year of teaching, and I feel honored to share it with the incredible students and families of Liberty Middle School.

For the 2021-2022 school year I will be teaching 7th Grade Math and Project Lead the Way: Medical Detectives.

I just moved to Huntsville this summer from Littleton, Colorado, where I taught in Denver Public School District. I've taught a variety of grades and subjects, with an emphasis in the STEM subjects and Project Lead the Way programming.

I believe that all students are capable of achieving to the highest levels, and strive to create a classroom where students feel supported and empowered. Students can expect to work in teams, personalize their learning, and be creative thinkers.

When I'm in not the classroom, I also serve as a Project Lead the Way Master Teacher, leading STEM training for teachers across the country.

My husband, Cory, is an aerospace engineer, and in our free time we like to kayak, paddleboard, and explore our new home in Alabama!
