Welcome to Miss Walden's 4th Grade Class!

My name is Haleigh Walden, and I am so excited to be your child's 4th grade Math and Science teacher this year. This year (2023-2024) is my eighth year of teaching. I taught second grade for three years, and this is my fifth year teaching fourth grade. I graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. War Eagle! I recently earned my master's degree in Library Media from the University of West Alabama. I love learning and hope to inspire my students to love learning and value the gift of education. Building a strong class community and making learning fun and engaging is always my goal as an educator.

I am originally from a small town north of Birmingham called Oneonta. I moved to Huntsville in 2016, where I began my career in teaching, and later moved to Madison. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am very involved with my church, Worthy Redeemer Church (a new church plant of Summit Crossing Community Church). I love returning to my Alma Mater to cheer on the Auburn Tigers. I also enjoy baking, camping, board games, and watching movies.

I am looking forward to another fantastic year at Midtown Elementary!
