Ms. Elizabeth Morton

Hello! My name is Ms. Elizabeth Morton and I am proud to say that I am the Speech-Language Pathologist at Liberty Middle School! I was born and raised in Huntsville, AL and still continue to reside there. I graduated in 2009 from Alabama A&M University with a Masters in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. I have been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist for 12 years with a lengthy background in the medical side of Speech-Language Pathology where I specialized in Dementia and Strokes. I decided to make a change in October 2019 and come to work for Madison City Schools. It was the best and most adventurous decision I have ever made in my professional career! I now specialize in the treatment of Articulation and Language Disorders and especially love Social-Emotional Learning. It has been exciting to work in the best of both worlds, both with the elderly and with children.

When I am not working with your child, you can find me enjoying the outdoors, cuddling with my Shih-Tzu (JuJu), sipping on coffee, thrifting, or working on my latest knitting project. Also, Silver Screen movies are my favorite types of movies.

I also help to lead First Priority here at Liberty, serve as Liberty's United Way advocate, as well as recently having been trained as a Youth Mental Health advocate.

I look forward to an amazing new year...where we are all happy to be here! Go Lions!
