Welcome to James Clemens High School!

My name is Peyton James, and I am very excited about meeting all of my wonderful students for the 2022-2023 school year! This will be my third year at JCHS and my 5th year overall in education. I will also be starting my third season as the assistant coach for the JCHS Blue Angels Dance Team. Go Jets!

I grew up in Hoover, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Upon graduation, I began my career in education, teaching Biology at Hoover High School for two years. My husband and I moved to the Madison area in June of 2020. The following August, I graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a Master of Arts in Secondary Education. I come from a family of science educators and have always had a passion for the sciences! 

In my free time, I enjoy reading (just about anything), cooking/baking, loving on our sweet English bulldogs Chazz and Grizzly, and spending time with my family.
