Hello and welcome to 4th grade! My name is Amy Maynard and I am so excited to be your Math and Science teacher for the 2020-2021 school year! I grew up here in Madison and graduated from Bob Jones High School before attending Auburn University and graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am currently working towards my Master's in Special Education from the University of West Alabama. 

I began teaching last year in Alexander City as a 6th grade teacher. I am so excited to have come back to the place I call home and to be teaching my two favorite subjects. I am looking forward to instilling this same love of math and science into my students.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, trying new restaurants, running, and playing with my two kittens, Biscuit and Minnie. I cannot wait for the school year to start! Even though it may look a little different this year, I just know this will be the best one yet!
