This will be Coach Smothers’ third year as an assistant baseball coach / History teacher at Bob Jones High School. Coach Smothers is originally from Eldridge, AL where he attended Carbon Hill High School. After high school he attended Bevill State Community College in Fayette, AL where he was a pitcher for the baseball team, and then transferred to Athens State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in history education. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Hannah, and his son Hanley.
