Ms. Lois J Stratton

I earned my undergraduate and master's degrees at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Outside of school, I spend time gardening, reading (fiction, non-fiction, I read it all), and traveling. Dogs play a big part of my life and my family includes two rescue dogs, Jake and Abbie.  I have two grown daughters, one lives in Nashville and the other lives in Atlanta and works for the CDC.

I taught regular and honors biology in Massachusetts before moving to Alabama.  I taught regular biology at Discovery Middle School for two years and then moved to Bob Jones High School in August 2012.  I have taught Biology, Genetics, Physical Science, Medical Interventions (part of the Biomedical Academy), Pre-AP Biology and Astronomy.  This semester I'll be teaching Pre-AP Biology, Physical Science, and Biology.  I love the variety of subjects I teach - all science is related and I am reminded of that every day!
