While in graduate school at Alabama A&M University, I was a graduate student clinician at Columbia Elementary for over a year and also worked ESY at Mill Creek one summer. Upon graduating, I accepted a position with Cobb Pediatric Therapy Services, and contracted into the DeKalb County School District in Georgia for a year and a half. I enjoy participating in continuing education in my field throughout the year in order to remain up to date, and in the know. I have experience with coursework in Listening and Spoken Language, and have a passion for diving deeper into that area of my field. Over the past few years of being a Speech Pathologist, I have gained invaluable experience with children who have speech sound disorders, apraxia, hearing loss, cochlear impants, Autism, Down Syndrome, multiple disabilities, and fluency disorders to name a few. My passion in the field of Speech Language Pathology is oral motor disorders and in the fall of 2022, I completed a 12 week course titled Feed The Peds to further my knowledge in this area.
I was born and raised in New York City. I fell in love with all that the University of Alabama had to offer when deciding which college was the right one for me, and the rest is history! I have been married since 2018 and have 2 sweet baby girls. Along with our girls, we also have a dog named Charlie and a cat named Gracie. I love volunteering in the community with Girls On The Run North Alabama, reading, crafting, shopping, and traveling to visit family and friends as much as I can!
