Education

I graduated from Huntsville High School in 1995.  After completing high school, I attended Auburn University and received a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1999.  In 2005, I completed my Master of Arts in Education from UAB.

Experience

After graduating from Auburn University in 1999, I took a job in Decatur City Schools at Somerville Road Elementary.  I taught 2nd grade.  In 2000, I accepted a position in Madison City Schools at Horizon Elementary School teaching 5th grade.  I transferred from Horizon Elementary to Heritage Elementary in the fall of 2006.  I currently teach at  Heritage Elementary where I teach 4th grade.  I am very blessed to be working with such wonderful people!

Bio

My name is Katie Scruggs.  I teach 4th grade at Heritage Elementary School in Madison, Alabama.  I have been married to my husband, Robert, since 1999  We have two terrific kids, Hunter and Anna Claire.  Hunter attends Auburn University.  Anna Claire attends James Clemens High School.  In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my kids, reading, and shopping.  I am a huge Auburn fan.  WAR EAGLE!!!
