I have taught at Ogletree Elementary School, Auburn City Schools, as a Special Education Teacher for self contained and resource students grades 3-5 from 2015 to 2018. At Ogletree,I served as the volunteer after school running club sponsor. From 2011-2015, I served as a special education teacher for grades K-6 at West Smiths Station Elementary School, in Lee County, Alabama. At West Smiths Station I was the volunteer afterschool art program coordinator. I started my teaching career at Kitty Stone Elementary School/Jacksonville High School from 1999 to 2011 at Jacksonville City Schools as a special education teacher and hearing impaired teacher for grades K-12.
I am married to Brent Boatwright. We have a son, Mark and a daughter, Aubrey. I am a big Auburn fan. I enjoy running and exercising in my spare time. Horizon is a great place to be! Go Eagles!
