I am a graduate of East Carolina University and earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Special Education. I started my teaching career in 1990 in North Carolina, followed by a year in the New Orleans public schools. After supporting my husband’s military career and lots of moves to duty stations, my family and I retired to the Madison area, where I returned to work at Discovery Middle School as a math tutor followed by a resource teacher at Columbia Elementary. I am currently working as a collaborative teacher at James Clemens High School, where I enjoy working with great staff, parents and terrific students! My husband, Bill, and I have three children; Taylor, Meredith, and Jack. In addition, we are the proud parents of Simon, our bassethound, and Mort, our Calico cat. I am one of the Best Buddies sponsors.
