Mrs. Leah McRae

Welcome to my webpage! I am fortunate enough to be a science teacher at James Clemens High School. Prior to August 2012, I had taught at Bob Jones High School. I was a teacher there for 20 years. I have taught classes such as Biology, Environmental Science, Physical Science and Genetics, but am currently teaching Human Body Structures and Functions, Introduction to Biotechnology (Genetics), Human Body Systems, and Medical Interventions. Human Body Systems (HBS) and Medical Interventions (MI) are the second and third class in the Biomedical Science Academy. The curriculum for these classes is through Project Lead the Way.

My teaching emphasis includes theoretical as well as practical applications of the subjects I teach. My desire is to make all of my students aware of the current scientific discoveries in biology and to engage them in seeking answers to current problems.

My family and I are residents of Hartselle and I use the time in which I drive to pray for my students and myself. My desire is to provide the best education possible for my students while demonstrating my true concern for their personal welfare.
