Hello,

My name is Rachel Donaldson. I have 3 beautiful girls, ages 20, 18, and 10. I have recently remarried, so my last name will change to Morgan in the near future. Our family loves animals. Currently, we have 3 dogs and 4 cats. One of our dogs is a rescue dog. He is completely blind, so we have had to adapt our home to fit his needs. Three of the cats are grown, and one is a new baby kitten. We spend time playing with our furry critters everyday. Also, a lot of time goes toward cleaning up after them! We also spend a lot of time creating art in our family. We all enjoy painting, sculpting, and photography. One of my favorite hobbies is cooking, which my family thoroughly enjoys! I love tasting and attempting to replicate recipes from a variety of cultures. Learning how to make a new dish is an exciting and rewarding activity. I have been teaching for 12 years now. I have I absolutely love my career choice.  I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2006. Previously, my family moved around a little. This provided me with the opportunity to teach in Odessa Texas and New Orleans Louisianna. We moved back to Alabama when our youngest daughter was born to be close to family again. My time at Mill Creek began in 2014. It has been a fantastic learning journey that I hope to continue for many years. Our school has high expectations, as well as high rewards. The students in my class are loved and valued as unique, capable people. I sincerely feel that each student has varying capabilities that can add value to our world. I learn so much from each child everyday. The children make me laugh, and allow me to continue to grow as a teacher. There is no one child like the other. They are all special and wonderful in their own way. I am blessed to be a teacher here!
