Gifted Specialist

I attended Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi, and earned my bachelor's degree in early childhood and elementary education. After teaching for several years, I earned my master's degree in gifted education from Troy University in Troy, Alabama. 

I am a native of Red Bay, Alabama, class of '92; GO TIGERS! I married my high-school sweetheart (over 30 years ago) and reside in Somerville where I enjoy cheering my students on at events, attending family socials, church functions, and antique shopping. I have two sons, Desmond and Davian.  

I began my teaching career when I taught middle school for 7 years at Colbert County High School in Leighton, AL, second grade for 3 years at Hatton Elementary in Leighton, AL, and as a gifted specialist for 2 years at Jones Valley Elementary in Huntsville, AL before coming to Madison City. This is my 7th year as a Gifted Specialist with MCS. I am serving all three middle school gifted learners this year, and I am excited about meeting all our exceptional families!
