Ms. Sarah Haidar
Hello, Journey Jaguars! I'm excited about working with our English Language Learners. I've been an ELA and ELL teacher for over four years now and have worked with college, high school, and middle school students during my time in North Carolina while earning my Master's degree.
I was born in Texas and raised in Madison, AL, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in English and in Marketing from the University of Alabama, Huntsville. During my time in North Carolina, I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching, TESL, from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. I returned to Madison last year and was part of Journey Middle School's first year in 2023-2024!
I love reading fiction, writing, traveling, and crafting. I am addicted to everything Avatar: The Last Airbender, Percy Jackson, Disney, and cookies and cream flavored. My goal is for every student who walks through my door to feel welcomed and for them to embrace their language skills in English and their home language(s).
