My name is Carla Beardslee.  I have a degree in Education in Biology and Psychology.  I have been teaching for over 30 years with 21 of those years right here at Liberty Middle School.  I began my career teaching high school biology and in the biology lab at Calhoun College. 

I never thought in a million years that I would love teaching middle school children science but I absolutely love it.  I love the subject and my students and using scientific inquiry in my classes.  

I became a national board certified teacher in 2005 and maintain my certificate to this day.  I live in Decatur AL with my husband and 2 dogs and am active in the group Track my Paws that my niece began many years ago.
