Patriot Paws is a club dedicated to educating students and the community about animal rescue in North Alabama. We volunteer, fundraise, and collect donations for a variety of rescues and shelters including: Friends of Rescue, Felines and Canines Rescue Center, Athens-Limestone Animal Shelter, Huntsville Animal Shelter, MARF, and Scottsboro Animal Shelter. Volunteer opportunities include helping at adoption events, walking dogs at shelters, and other numerous activities. We meet during Patriot Path and rescue cats and dogs frequent our meetings. We have guest speakers that include vets, representatives of rescue organizations, search and rescue teams, therapy dogs, dog trainers, and foster homes. To join the club students must sign waivers that allow them to be in contact with animals at meetings and events. There is also a $10 member fee which is used to collect supplies or make donations to the rescues we work with to help them meet their goal of saving the lives of shelter animals in North Alabama. Students interested in joining can email Mrs. Coker or come by my room N217.
