Hello, my name is Lake Ainsworth and I am a math teacher. I recently (May of 2023) graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Math Education. I am from the beach, Gulf Shores, Alabama to be exact. I may be far away from home, but I am excited about starting my educational career at Journey.

I played soccer growing up and discovered indoor/sand volleyball in college, and I love to play both whenever I get the chance. I love watching sports, and I am a Chelsea, Celtics, and Auburn fan. I love to watch comedy specials in my downtime and my favorite comedian is John Mulaney. All that to say, I like to think that I have a fun personality and like to express that through a collaborative and engaging classroom. I cannot wait to meet all of you!
