Welcome to my teacher page! My name is Amy Harbison, and I have sixteen years of teaching experience in secondary English Language Arts ranging from grades 6-10. Before joining Madison City Schools in 2019, I taught ELA at Olive Branch High School in Olive Branch, Mississippi; Oxford Middle School, Oxford, Mississippi; and Kirk Academy, Grenada, Mississippi. I am a graduate of Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a double minor in Music and Psychology. Currently, I am pursuing my National Board Certification. 

I am a native of Grenada, Mississippi, and currently reside in Madison. I have been married to my husband, David, for 26 years, and we have two children, Cooper and Allie. We also have a sweet Shichon named Mazie (a Shichon is a mixed breed dog–a cross between the Shih Tzu and the Bichon Frise dog breeds). I enjoy traveling, reading, jogging, and spending time with my family.
